Design with purpose

Learn how agency design connects strategy, creativity and execution

This Graphic Design Internship is not built around making random visuals. Under creative-team guidance, you may support real design tasks while learning to interpret briefs, work within brand systems, create clear visual hierarchy and prepare assets for the channel where they will be used.

01

Creative briefs

Learn to identify the objective, audience, message, required format, brand rules and approval criteria before designing.

02

Brand identity systems

Understand how typography, color, imagery, spacing and graphic elements create a consistent visual language.

03

Social media design

Create adaptable layouts for content series, campaigns and platform formats while protecting clarity and recognition.

04

Campaign assets

See how one creative direction becomes a coordinated set of digital and, where relevant, print-ready materials.

05

Typography and layout

Strengthen hierarchy, alignment, contrast, spacing and readability across Arabic and English communication.

06

Production files

Learn naming, dimensions, export settings, linked assets and source-file organization that others can actually use.

Your responsibilities

What a graphic design intern may work on

  • Develop visual directionsResearch relevant inspiration and translate ideas into original, appropriate concepts.
  • Design social media assetsSupport posts, carousels, stories, covers and campaign variations using approved systems.
  • Adapt campaign materialsResize and restructure approved concepts without damaging hierarchy or message clarity.

Who should apply

We value foundations, curiosity and coachability

You do not need years of experience or a perfect portfolio. You should, however, demonstrate an understanding of basic design principles, genuine interest in agency work and the discipline to improve through critique.

You may be a strong fit if you

  • Study or recently completed graphic design, visual communication, fine arts or a related field
  • Can show a small portfolio of relevant academic, personal, freelance or volunteer work
  • Understand basic typography, layout, color and visual hierarchy
  • Have working knowledge of relevant professional design tools
  • Can explain the thinking behind at least some design decisions
  • Accept feedback and can commit to confirmed programme arrangements

This role may not suit you if you

  • Depend entirely on templates without understanding composition
  • Copy other designers’ work or use assets without permission
  • Submit flattened files when editable sources are required
  • Ignore briefs, dimensions, naming rules or deadlines
  • Treat revision as a personal attack rather than part of the process
  • Use AI-generated or stock assets without checking rights and quality

Questions about the Udjat Agency Graphic Design Internship

Who can apply for the Graphic Design Internship?

Students, fresh graduates and emerging designers interested in graphic design and visual communication may apply. Selection focuses on foundations, portfolio relevance, attention to detail, reliability and learning potential.

Is a portfolio required?

Yes. Provide an accessible portfolio link that shows a focused selection of work. Academic and personal projects are acceptable when your contribution is clear and the work demonstrates design thinking.

Which design software should I know?

Working knowledge of suitable professional design tools is helpful. Tool choice is less important than understanding layout, typography, image handling, editable files and correct exports.

Can I include AI-assisted work?

You may identify AI-assisted exploration honestly if it is permitted in the project. Do not present generated or copied work as fully original, and make sure assets can be used legally and safely.

What location and working pattern apply?

The location, schedule, duration and working pattern are confirmed with shortlisted candidates for the current intake. Do not assume remote or hybrid work unless Udjat confirms it.

Is the internship paid?

Compensation or benefits, if applicable, will be explained during selection before acceptance. This page does not promise terms that have not been confirmed individually.

Can the internship lead to employment?

Employment is not guaranteed. Strong performance, professionalism, business need and role availability may support consideration for future opportunities at Udjat Agency.
